Daybeds

typical daybed in oak brown finish
Daybeds are usually referred to a smaller sized twin beds that are placed against the wall and usually are meant for kids' day sleep. They all use twin mattresses as default. Mattresses for day beds, by the way, are not a part of daybed and never sold as package (unless stated otherwise). You would typically need to buy mattresses separately.

Some additional pieces as daybed platform might be required for some beds (we usually have a note about that at the product description). Some daybeds have additional storage bed named trundle, under the main one. In this case you may purchase a secondary mattress for that as well. Trundles are usually rollout - means they roll on wheels directly under the daybed. Daybeds are also great for guest room as they normally take minimal space.

Daybeds are mostly meant for kids, teens and young adults. They seem lighter and not as solid as normal beds, which is quite unfair judgement. Typically, there are no size limitations or any kind of disadvantages exist for daybeds, they are just different bed type. Most of these beds are usually not as heavy/solid as regular beds, so some overweight person might better use a normal bed instead. However, as our experience shows there are no such limitations.

We have quite a good variety of these so feel free to browse and see if you like anything.
