It's not the most comfortable thing. but it is small and perfect for city apartments. I would recommend getting a mattress pad for it. Overall for the money i would recommend.

How thick is the cushion to sleep on? And what is the cushion or bed made of?

It's a same 'cushion' as the seat. It's as thick as seating part - filled with foam and other materials. All these sleepers are designed to be seats / sleeping surfaces at the same time and work very well. Thanks.

What is the seat height? Is seat height the same as bed height? Seat height is important to those of a certain age.
