P9214 affordable platform twin bed w/ trundle

There are few choices of full size beds with trundles. I have bought another Poundex fabric design for my daughter before and that seems to have been discontinued so we settled on this one for our son. It is made from compressed wood particle board and faux leather. The faux leather feels fine and does not feel vinylie or plastickity. It put together easily and directions were simple and clear. Markings and predrilled holes made putting it together a cinch. I am going to add a piece of plywood over the wood strips to help distribute the load across all the boards and cover up the hole as the full size mattress leaves a gap between the footboard and headboard that is large enough to see when looking down.Only disappointment is that lower valance on the non pullout side could have been extended to cover up underneath just like the trundle pull out side. It should go to the floor just like the other side instead there is a half foot open space between the side valance and the floor that is not existent on the trundle side. Makes it look like something is missing.3
