Hello. Are the panel extensions attached to the headboard or to the wall?? Do they have feet?

No feet. Each panel has 2 latches (hooks) that can not be seen that attach the sides to headboard. Thanks.

Since the two sides are separate, how do we included them to have the complete headboard as you show in the picture?
